Designed as a seasonal retreat for a Delhi-based family, this project merges pastoral serenity with upscale living. Traditional Kashmir architecture — sloped roofs, carved wood, and lime-washed walls — is reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. The villa is sited to maximize sun in winter and shade in summer, while long verandas and locally sourced materials connect the home to its farmland surroundings.
Every corner invites slow living — from insulated bedrooms with sky-lit ceilings to an open-plan kitchen-living area that spills onto orchard-facing decks. Water is harvested on-site, power is solar-assisted, and passive techniques keep energy use minimal without compromising comfort.
